If you’d asked me at the beginning of this year what I’d be doing right now, I probably would’ve said something like:
“Starting a doctorate or master’s program…”
And yet—here I am, back in school. Not for a doctorate or other graduate-level degree. But for something that just feels right: OTA school.
Timing is everything. I’ve always been a doer—someone who jumps in, gets involved, learns by helping. And after years of supporting incredible clinicians, educators, and values-driven leaders, I realized it was time to deepen my own lens.
In Occupational Therapy (OT), they say “we don’t do, we teach.” That distinction sets the field apart from many other rehabilitative practices and from how most of us are taught to hustle through life and business.
As someone who’s built a business around strategy, operations, and visibility, I know the power of being truly seen—and supported. That’s what I want to do even better, across fields, cultures, and sectors.
So yes, it’s “back to school” for me. And it’s not the path I planned, but it’s the one I chose intentionally.
