I hope 2024 treated you kindly, and 2025 treats you even better.
Last year was… a lot. Burnout? ✅ Struggles with actively resting? ✅ But through it all, I learned, grew, and accomplished—just not in the shiny way I imagined. Would I do it again? Probably, but only because I’m stubborn 😅.
I know I’m not alone—many of you have shared that 2024 was tough. What about you? Did it turn out to be your best year yet, or was it a year of unexpected redirections?
Little, Big Wins:
Speaking of growth—I’m taking my first major trip in forever (recovering perfectionist and chronic overworker here 🙋♀️). I also went from being my family’s crutch (willingly—we had a few health scares) to all the ladies finally entering a new level of sanity AND stability. With the collective number of hospital visits last year, I’m honestly surprised I still have hair 🫣.
Lessons I’m Dragon-ing into 2025:
(It was the year of the Dragon, get it? 🤣)
🚀 Confidence changes everything.
I worked with an OBM agency making nearly 6-figures, and the biggest difference in our businesses? How we showed up. My clients—aka business besties—know the value I bring to our collaborations, but I don’t always walk with that confidence in new spaces. Lesson learned: Confidence + care = a winning strategy.
🤝 Choose the right collaborations.
That government contract I took on and the last-minute client I didn’t vet? Yeah… never again. Always vet your collaborators for alignment—it’s not just about meaningful work, but about work that aligns with your values and doesn’t compromise your health.
♿ Disability Inclusion vs. Accessibility.
A post by JoAnna Hansen got me thinking—many try to be experts in everything, but that’s a straight path to burnout. My take? Pick one, master it, and surround yourself with others who complement your expertise. We can’t do it all, and trying to only slows down growth and efficiency.
➡️ Feeling stretched thin? If you’re juggling too much, overwhelmed, or unsure where to focus for real impact, let’s talk.I help my clients build sustainable strategies that actually work—without burnout.
January was part of my reset month—hibernation mode deactivating—but now, I’m fully stepping into 2025. This is your year—take it by the horns. Whether you slow down for yourself or speed up with confidence, do it on your terms.
✨ Let’s stay connected! If we aren’t already, let’s connect on LinkedIn and Facebook—I’d love to continue the conversation.
